This may come as a shock to some, but James Bond has been here for almost 70 years. Considering the mystery and suspense that have always surrounded him, it’s no wonder that the love of his fans of all ages has been ever-increasing from the moment he first saw the light of day back in 1953.
The Omega Seamaster was released in 1948. Although almost peers, it took a few decades for the Omega and James Bond to be officially introduced and start working together. However, it wasn’t a chance meeting by any means. Instead, Omega Seamaster was looking for a secure spot in modern times, and James Bond turned out to be a perfect match.
As we all know, James Bond is a symbol of strength, longevity, wit, and timeless class. He’s always on top of the latest technological innovations, a true go-getter, and a genuine trendsetter- just the adjectives you could use for Omega.

Having so much in common, plus an equally diverse fan base worldwide, the news of the cooperation between a James Bond movie franchise and Omega in 1995 came naturally. And what a successful collaboration that has been! It resulted in a series of superb watches, each following the latest release of the James Bond movie series. At the same time, James Bond-inspired Seamasters became one of the most successful watch families in Omega’s rich catalog.
The Omega Aqua Terra is a great representative of that fruitful relationship. It’s a true gem that deserves a special mention on several accounts. Here’s what’s notable about it.
Released in anticipation of SPECTRE in 2015, Omega Aqua Terra 231.10.42.21.03.004 is a limited edition watch from the Omega Seamaster James Bond series. Being a limited model within a family of iconic Omega watches must stand for something. And it does.

For a start, the blue dial is tiled with a Bond family coat-of-arms all the way through. The famous coat-of-arms is also featured as the counter-weight of the second hand. Next, the Seamaster and 15,007 Gauss writing on the dial are yellow – matching the color on the coat-of-arms. That exact shade colors the second hand and five-second markings, too.

The back case is another threat. A transparent sapphire crystal enables a clear view of how the 8507 mechanism operates. That’s the first time Omega used this caliber, undoubtedly not the last, given its superb performances and anti-magnetic resistance.

A unique automatic rotor design cut and shaped to resemble a gun barrel pays homage to a gun barrel featured in the infamous introductory opening of James Bond movies. It adds another distinctive flavor to this special edition of Omega Agua Terra. After all, that unique barrel was where the 8507 Co-Axial caliber got its name.
The back case also has 15 007 engraved, paying another tribute to James Bond and announcing the number of watches available on the market.
Considering all these unique features, the unusually large number of manufactured models for a limited edition watch turned out not to be that large. Immediately upon its release, the watch became highly sought after.

There’s no better way to sum up the story about Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra watch than to emphasize it still occupies one of the top positions in the wishlist of Omega fans worldwide.
If you’re looking to buy one yourself, they are still a couple of used ones to be found. However, be prepared that finding one in a pristine condition and at a lower price than the original Omega Aqua Terra price of about $7000 will be a highly challenging effort.
