Seiko’s Latest “MONSTER” Dive Watch SRPD25

Two of Seiko’s Latest Monster Automatic Dive Watch with new Case and Bezel Design are the SRPD25 & SRPD27 Monster models.

The Prospex Automatic “Monster” Diver SRPD27 comes with a stainless steel case, black sunray dial, and blue rubber strap. The SRPD25 comes with a steel case, blue sunray dial, and stainless steel bracelet. Both versions measure at 42.4 mm in diameter and feature the latest generation Monster case, with a solid steel dive bezel treated with a black coating.

The 2019 Seiko Monster retains the essentials of the original such as the excellent bracelet and reliable 4R36 automatic movement. However, there is a new case and bezel featuring a more sculpted look.

The finishing on the case and case back is also more refined than the original. There is also a new dial with a rectangular style luminous hour markers. The day and date window has a magnifier lens over it to improve readability.

Prominent hands, indices, substantial lume

The powerful Seiko LumiBrite luminescent material is of course still used and it retains the same brilliant glowing properties that made the original Monster such a huge worldwide phenomenon. It is a different color this time. It glows with a blue color on the this model. Still an awesome sight in the dark after charging it with a bright light source.

Concave dive bezel

Machined crown

You will also notice a new nicely machined crown that is a bit easier to grip than the previous version. Lug width is 20mm. Slightly domed Hardlex mineral crystal. Concave dive bezel to help protect the crystal. Comes on a stainless steel bracelet with a push-button deployant clasp. Solid screw-in case back. Water resistant to 200 meters.

You can pick up either the SRPD27 model, which has a black dial and comes on one of Seiko’s Prospex silicon straps for $495.00, or you can go for the SRPD25 model features a blue dial and comes on a steel bracelet for a price of $525. 00.
