The skin of American Mississippian alligator is rated as the most expensive and luxurious of all Crocodilians, because it’s the most durable, ages nicely and is the most flexible of all three species (alligator, crocodile, and caiman). Another reason why the Mississippian alligator is considered as the most luxurious leather material is due to their processing method, their skins keep their unique colors and patterns and only get a “vintage look” over time. Since they are processed without chemicals, they are suitable for persons with sensitive skin and or those prone to allergic reactions from leather products.
