It’s another game season of the Summer Olympics with fanfare and much celebration! I’m excited, I don’t know if you are.
The 2024 Summer Olympics will be held in Paris, France, from July 26 to August 11, 2024. This will be the third time Paris has hosted the Summer Olympics, with previous events held in 1900 and 1924. The games will feature a wide range of sports, including traditional events like athletics, swimming, and gymnastics, as well as newer additions like surfing, skateboarding, and sport climbing.
On June 7, 2024, Paris awoke to the Olympic rings adorning the Eiffel Tower, a stunning prelude to the upcoming Games.
Competitions will take place at various iconic locations in Paris, such as the Stade de France for athletics, Roland Garros for tennis, and the Champ de Mars near the Eiffel Tower for beach volleyball. It is said that Breakdancing will make its Olympic debut.
Well, I am not just telling you all this for the fun of it, but that Omega will be the official timekeeper of the event AGAIN.
As the world eagerly anticipates the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, Omega, the official timekeeper of the event, continues to honor its legacy of precision and excellence. This marks the 31st time Omega has held this prestigious role since its first involvement in the 1932 Los Angeles Games.
As the official timekeeper, Omega will provide precise and reliable timing and scoring for all the events, ensuring fair and accurate results for athletes and spectators alike. From providing advanced timing technology, to handling the immense amount of data generated during the games, Omega continually innovates to improve timing precision even to the fraction of a second.
The Paris 2024 Omega Seamaster Diver 300M features a white dial and Moonshine Gold bezel, echoing the 2018 model's specifications.
Therefore, in the spirit of the games, Omega has unveiled special edition watches. In 2023, Omega launched the Seamaster 300M "Paris 2024" Special Edition to commemorate the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympics.
The Seamaster 300M "Paris 2024" Special Edition is crafted from stainless steel in a radiant bezel ring made from Omega’s proprietary 18K Moonshine Gold, a unique alloy known for its paler hue compared to traditional yellow gold and its superior resistance to fading over time. The bezel is engraved with a diving scale filled with white enamel.

The timepiece is powered by the Omega Master Chronometer Caliber 8800, known for its accuracy, reliability, and resistance to magnetic fields.
We thought this might just be the only special edition to be unveiled by Omega for the games, but nah, it isn’t!
As the opening date of the Paris 2024 Olympics draws closer, Omega has unveiled a new collection of Speedmaster Chronoscope watches to commemorate the event. These timepieces combine Omega's rich heritage in sports timing with modern design elements that celebrate the upcoming games. Here are the references:
